We conduct monthly food distributions in the San Fernando Valley. On occasion items include household and hygiene essentials. We’ve also had the opportunity to also giveaway baby products, toys, clothes and shoes. Stay tuned for the next one!

Our partnering schools hosted Día de los Muertos events to honor the deceased through creative and cultural activities. Students created picture frames, painted skulls, and attended a presentation by an elder on the history of Día de los Muertos. The events concluded with a shared luncheon.

At our Winter Festival/Posada, we celebrated our commitment and solidarity with the immigrant community. Participants acted out a traditional posada, asking for sanctuary and being "rejected,"sang songs, heard stories based on real experiences, and shared food together.

We partner with Dream Allies Network and Reclaim Our Schools LA to organize and facilitate the Community Action Research Program (CARP), a week-long organizing training focused on Community Schools and schools with Dream Centers. Through CARP’s student-led campaigns and civic engagement projects, students learn to influence school policies and advocate for the needs of their communities.
