Urban Visionaries has been EMPOWERing and cultivating BELONGING for youth and families in marginalized communities of color through community driven safe spaces and programs in arts education, TRANSFORMative justice, urban gardening, and community organizing
The Urban Visionaries non-profit was formed by BIPOC educators, parents, youth, union members and community activists who have been working together for over 20 years to improve low income public schools and communities in the LA area.
At the heart of our mission is fostering a sense of belonging for students. Through Dream Centers, empowerment clubs, inclusive programs, and food access initiatives, we create safe spaces where students feel seen, heard, and valued.
We equip students, parents, and educators with the tools and opportunities to become advocates and uplift their voices. Through Community Action Research Program (CARP), student-led campaigns, and civic engagement, students learn to influence school policies and advocate for community needs.
We are committed to transformation at individual and systemic levels. Our Restorative Justice (RJ) programs for at-risk and at-promise youth, create healing spaces, reduce disciplinary measures, and address systemic inequities.
Together, our work represents a movement for education and social justice.

Help us fund our programming, events, student scholarships. And our emergency relief grant; which supports families with housing and food assistance.
